This bulb has a world-first tower of 104 LEDs inside it that creates 52 controllable zones for a seemingly infinite canvas of color and light. Set Flame mode in the LIFX app and it looks like a flame. Set Morph mode and it looks like multicolored lava. Paint your own colors onto the surface of the bulb with your finger in the app - must be seen to be believed. Oh, and it also lights things up really nicely in shades of white, if you're into that.

I wasn't expecting much from a bulb this shape, but the gradient between the 52 zones actually looks smooth on my wall instead of banded like cheaper LED strips. Setting it to a slow amber fade made my whole reading nook feel like a different room.
